- Prepare and cook a variety of appetizing and nutritious meals for residents, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency and quality in meal preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including proper storage and handling of food items.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with dietary staff to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Assist with special events and catering functions as required.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a cook in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Strong culinary skills and creativity in meal preparation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
