Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager (Administrative)
Develop and manage purchasing strategies that support business growth, cost efficiency, and operational reliability.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors to maximize value.
Oversee inventory planning and control across multiple warehouse and field locations.
Collaborate with engineering, field operations, finance, and customer support teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels.
Implement and maintain inventory management systems and procurement software.
Ensure timely procurement of materials to support new installs, repairs, and network builds.
Develop and oversee processes for the pre-provisioning and staging of OLT equipment, ensuring compatibility with service area configurations and reducing field installation time.
Work closely with the network engineering team to maintain provisioning standards and ensure OLT configurations meet quality and performance benchmarks prior to deployment.
Coordinate logistics for OLT shipments, storage, and readiness across central offices, data centers, and field depots.
Oversee the administrative management of critical power systems, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), backup generators, and associated service contracts to ensure uptime at key company locations.
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, fuel delivery planning, and vendor performance for power infrastructure.
Monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality, service levels, and pricing.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in the telecommunications or broadband industry strongly preferred.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
Proficiency in inventory management systems.
Knowledge of vendor management best practices and logistics coordination.
Familiarity with operational support for power systems, including UPS units and diesel or natural gas generators is preferred.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Proven track record of building scalable supply chain processes in a high-growth or mission-critical environment.
Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident up to and including travel to other systems if needed.
