Assistant Director of Human Resources - Hilton Columbus Downtown (Finance)
The award-winning Hilton Columbus Downtown is looking for an Assistant Director of Human Resources. This stunning property is the largest hotel in Ohio featuring over 1,000 rooms and has won national awards within Hilton (5-time Hilton Hotel of the Year "Connie Award"). Working in partnership with the HR Director, this position will be an integral part of the Human Resources team to support, engage and develop a fabulous team of approximately 400 employees across the hotel.
We are looking for someone to join our team that has a commitment to excellence in every aspect of hospitality, 1- 2 years previous experience in a similar position within the hotel/hospitality industry, excellent problem-solving skills and a genuine passion for what you do! Experience with labor relations or working in a Union environment preferred.

What will I be doing?
As Assistant Director of Human Resources, you would specifically be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Assist in overseeing, administering and communicating pertinent information regarding all Human Resources functions to include, but not limited to, recruiting, training and development, wage/benefit administration, compliance with statutory requirements, team member relations, labor relations, workers compensation, leave of absence administration, employment processes and general leadership guidance and support
Manage and supervise the daily Human Resources related needs of Team Members
Participate in and facilitate meetings and monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and awards
Ensure Affirmative Action Plan compliance
Manage the hotel team member relations program to include, but not limited to, picnics, holiday parties, health fairs, team member communications, special promotions, etc. This also includes overseeing the Blue Energy Committee and related Travel With Purpose committee (community involvement) and our Guest Relations committee.
In alignment with the HR Director, manage performance for all team members
Oversee function of the team member data management system
Assist with terminations and exit interviews
Assist in the preparation of reports related to the Human Resources function
Act in the absence of the Director
Lead the hotel quality initiative, as needed
