It is a "working" position, meaning that the supervisory duties are only performed as part of the present position. Assists QA Manager in planning and directing QA personnel, quality assurance auditing, and strictly enforcing the Quality Standards established by STULZ QA Manager. Responsible for implementing changes and improvements through Lean concepts and principles by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for getting teams started on time in the work locations as needed in the plant.
Promote safe working environment and behaviors.
Responsible for allocating resources effectively and efficiently and reporting any obstacles leading to potential impact on shipping schedule.
Lead team daily improvement cycles with 5-S and PDCA methodology for continued incremental improvements in all assigned processes.
Responsible for coaching Team members assigned, assisting in training, cross-training and daily job responsibilities and requirements.
Promote skills growth and build coaches within your team, emphasizing support for and acknowledgement of positive behaviors.
Sharing best practices with other team leaders.
Responsible for controlling area inventory, ordering shop supplies and daily production kit/part requirements.
Responsible for ensuring tools and equipment for the QA department are all in good working condition. Replacing any damage or failures of these items to the QA Manager or QA Calibration Employee.
Reviews and assigns, all work and personnel assigned.
Responsible for time and resource management.
Responsible for participating in and assisting in personnel reviews and all disciplinary actions of team members.
Assist and coach team members in proper housekeeping using Lean tools and concepts, such as Standard Work, and 5s.
Strictly enforces Quality Assurance Procedures as established by QA Manager.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or 3 to 5 years' experience in a related environment is required.
Basic Lean Manufacturing Training
Language Skills:
Ability to read and understand English instructions.
Ability to speak effectively with employees
Ability to read and interpret drawings such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write and develop routine reports and correspondence
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and metric equivalents.
