WHO YOU ARE
As a CDL Yard Jockey you maintain timely movement of inbound and outbound trailers.
WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Our distribution center is located in Carlisle, PA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs timely movements of inbound and outbound trailers.
Transport and delivery of trailers in accordance with the schedule.
Perform distribution operator functions when time permits
Performs required DOT inspections on tractor and trailers.
Keep active logs of trailer movement, assist in yard and slot management.
Properly secure loads and ensure loads are within weight limits
Assist in other logistical processes per business necessity.
Follows all policies and procedures, best practices, DOT and OSHA regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
CDL Required
High School diploma or GED
Ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand on concrete floor with/without floor mats; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms (which may include above and/or below shoulders); bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to use left and/or right hand for simple grasping; fine work, pushing/pulling and low speed assembly. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is regularly exposed to heat/cold/rain while performing the following duties: including, but not limited to, preventive maintenance checks, hose hook-ups, diesel, dollys, step into tractor, door latches.
