Technical Training Specialist (Finance)
SUMMARY
Responsible for educating internal employees and external clients on web application and enterprise level software systems use, report generation, and report interpretation. Trains existing client management on essential functions of their jobs, system upgrades and processes. This role involves preparing for and delivering both group training sessions and one-on-one coaching while ensuring that learners achieve proficiency in using the system effectively. It may also involve travelling to client offices to deliver training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for employees and clients, tailored to their needs.
• Facilitate group training sessions and provide individual coaching to ensure understanding of Core system functionality, report analysis and other CDS Global client related processes.
• Creates, coordinates, and maintains training materials. (i.e., manuals, guides, video tutorials, tests, homework, in class worksheets, guest speakers, etc.)
• Stays up-to-date on system features and updates to continuously improve training relevance and quality in order to provide training to client management.
• Collaborates with other CDS Global teams to ensure efficient and accurate interactions and processes to manage client needs; communicates changes from other departments on how they'll affect Client Services.
• Collaborates with other CDS Global teams to update and maintain manuals/procedures/documents for Client Services.
• Assists Client Managers and Client Directors with daily problems by providing support and troubleshooting.
• Offer post-training support to employees and clients, responding to questions and troubleshooting efficiently. Fills in on teams when assistance is needed.
• Promotes a professional working relationship with Client Managers, Client Directors, and other departments within CDS Global.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify training needs and provide feedback for system improvements.
• Assess training program effectiveness through feedback, testing, and performance evaluations.
• Organizes tasks and multiple resources to complete work and meet deadlines according to established departmental procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitates meetings, discussions, etc.; makes presentations when requested.
• Assist Manager in departmental communications.
• Attends programming release meetings and provides documentation of those enhancements.
• Consults clients and other Client Managers and Client Directors on training needs.
• Trains other departments and clients.
• Communicates miscellaneous information to the department from outside sources.
• Provides transportation and entertainment for visiting clients.
• Travels to off-site meetings/seminars.
• Has access to transportation requiring a valid drivers license, proof of safe driving record, and active insurance.
• Maintains confidentiality of CDS Global and its clients' proprietary information.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Four-year degree or equivalent work experience, or a combination of college and work experience.
• Three or more years of work-related experience including proven success in training.
• Above average PC knowledge and skills
• Ability to develop training materials and manuals that are well-organized, utilizing proper English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Ability to convey clear, concise, and organized information to others, using verbal, written, or other communication techniques.
• Ability to apply critical thinking skills to objectively analyze a situation using research, trouble shooting skills, and find solutions based on that analysis.
• Ability to make decisions on a variety of tasks frequently requiring discretion, judgment and initiative, guided by general procedures or standards.
• Ability to work professionally and cooperatively with a variety of individuals.
• Ability to use and coordinate multiple resources to complete tasks.
• Ability to prioritize and complete short-term and long-term tasks with little supervision.
• Ability to guide others through the work process and provide constructive feedback.
• Ability to react to change and remain productive.
• Able to work in a distributed environment, communicating and collaborating with colleagues in various office.
