Role reports to: Team Leader Reverse Distribution

Location: Summit, NJ; Kenvue is currently in the process of moving its Global Headquarters from Skillman, NJ to Summit, NJ. This role is currently based in Skillman, NJ.

What you will do

Provides analytical support to internal business partners to track and reduce customers' returns and unsaleable, operational support to ensure that customers' returns are credited properly and in accordance with Kenvue's Returns Policies and transactional support to ensure that returns credits are reviewed and released on a timely basis.

This individual will be primarily responsible for all customer-facing activities associated with returns, starting with the approval and issuance of a Returns Authorization (RA), then working with the 3PL Returns Processor to determine exactly what was returned to Kenvue and ending with the customer receiving credit for their return in the form of a credit. This individual will support the Revenue Reconciliation Analysts in researching and clearing difficult Reverse Distribution deductions taken by trade customers.

The key roles for the RD (Reverse Distribution) Analyst are:

• Providing RD support to Revenue Reconciliation business partners for crediting (or denying when applicable) customers with complex and/or difficult returns.
• Providing RD support to Kenvue's Top Customer Focus Teams (CFTs), comprised of Sales, Logistics and Finance business partners, for any/all customer returns related issues.
• Identifying and implementing business process improvements to streamline the RD supply chain, reduce returns, reduce RD-CNIS costs and simplify RD processes, including the RA Request and Approval process, RD crediting process and the monthly RD metric reporting process.
• Providing support and back-up to the RD Co-op for RD Credit Management process, processing RA Requests and creating the monthly RD Returns reports.
• Managing the monthly ARUA ACH payment process for trade customers who cannot receive their ARUA payments via off-invoice.
• Providing RD support for all internal audits conducted by Kenvue Quality Assurance team and Kenvue SOX/Finance team and for external audits conducted by FDA, DEA, and Kenvue's Financial auditor.
• Writing SOPs and WI to formally document all RD processes in TRU.
• Providing overall management of non-standard Kenvue Returns processes.
• Provide RD support for executing Re-Marketing Events/Re-Marketing Steady State (RME/RMSS) for returned Kenvue Consumer products that meet specific Kenvue Quality Eligibility Criteria. For Donation RME/RMSS, partner with Kenvue Corporate Donations team to ensure that only Kenvue Approved charities receive product donations and partner with Kenvue Tax team to ensure that all product donations have been properly documented for tax deduction purposes.
• Providing training to new RD employees, including the RD Co-op, and RD business partners in the areas of RD crediting, RA Mailbox management and RD reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Revenue Reconciliation business partners with resolving difficult customer deductions associated with returns. Provide ad hoc returns reports to help identify the root cause of problems associated with returns.
• Partner with CFT colleagues to reduce customer returns and resolve challenging returns issues. Issue monthly RD % Returns-to-Sales reports to the Top CFTs to provide visibility to customer returns throughout the year.
• Lead small-to-medium scale projects to improve RD business processes - examples include provide RD support to Kenvue Project Teams that are responsible for new product launches, acquisitions and divestitures, new customer on-boarding, new 3PL Return Center facilities, moving customers ARUA payments from a manual ACH to an automated EDI Off-Invoice transaction, etc.
• Gain full understanding of and access to all systems needed to execute the crediting of returns, the processing of Return Authorization Requests and the creation of RD scorecards.
• On a monthly basis, execute the ARUA payment via ACH to customers who cannot receive their ARUA payment via an off-invoice transaction. Complete all ACH transactions in ARIBA. For new Customers, facilitate the Customer set-up in ARIBA and conduct an ACH test to ensure that the funds are sent to the Customer's proper bank account.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to successfully complete audits of Kenvue's returns and crediting processes, as well as the returns processes of Kenvue's 3PL Returns Processors. Lead the resolution of any observations found during the Kenvue audits. Partner with 3PL Returns Processors to resolve any observations found during the 3PL audits.
• Create SOP and WI documents to establish formal, written procedures to execute key Reverse Distribution processes. Ensure that all SOP and WI documents are uploaded into TRU. Update SOPs and WIs on a periodic basis to ensure that they are current and properly reflect their respective process.
• Provide overall management of the RECON audit process in order to qualify customers whose deductions can be cleared from the debit memo. Lead bi-annual audit of customer's past RD deduction and credits to determine eligibility of customers.
• Lead all activities associated with Donation Re-Marketing Events/Re-Marketing Steady State (RMEs/RMSS) for returned Kenvue Consumer products that meet specific Kenvue Quality Eligibility Criteria. Identify the Kenvue Approved Charity for each RME. Partner closely with the 3PL Returns Center manager to ensure that the RME/RMSS products are properly donated and that all product donation receipts are received from the Charity for Kenvue Tax deduction purposes.
• Develop training materials and provide new RD team members and new Kenvue business partners with training in the areas of Return Goods Policies, Returns Processing, Returns Metrics and Crediting of Returns.
