Under the umbrella of underwriting and portfolio management of the risk administration processes for the Franchise Finance group, the SVP, Underwriter is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting business and personal financial data. In this role, you will liaise between all parties to ensure timely and efficient tracking and analysis that meets the expectations of the Borrowers, Lenders, and Administration Teams.
What You'll Do
Underwrite credit requests in the franchise finance space
Prepare, review, and present credit summaries for approval
Collect, spread, analyze, and maintain financial statements
Support loan documentation, due diligence, and closing efforts
Participate in opportunity assessment and prospecting process
Prepare borrower, brand and portfolio reviews
Test and monitor financial covenants consistent with loan requirements
Maintain timely and accurate risk ratings
Understand and adhere to Credit/Bank policies and procedures
Complete all required compliance training in a timely manner
Understand and negotiate loan documentation and syndicated loans and communicate with loan syndicate
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a business, finance, economics, or accounting major
Minimum 7 years' commercial credit experience
Formal Bank credit training is preferred, with a strong understanding of general credit and risk principles, mitigates, and banking policies/procedures
Extensive knowledge of underwriting, franchise finance asset class, deal structuring, document negotiation and general knowledge about all areas of team production
High attention to detail and strong communication skills

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $117,000-$158,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
