Global Market Sector Lead - Highways (Finance)

Role description:

Arcadis's Intelligent Mobility Services (IMS) group offers technology consulting services to public and private sector mobility clients. IMS is looking to appoint a Global Market Sector Lead to coordinate internally and drive sales with roads and highways clients.

The IMS Roads and Highways Global Market Sector Lead is primarily a Growth role but the person will have also hatted responsibilities in the delivery of projects. The expected split of the role is 60% Growth and 40% project delivery.

The Role reports to the IMS Sales Director.

Role accountabilities:

Market Sector Lead (Primary Role)

The Global Market Sector Lead will work with the IMS Country Leads and other in-country leaders to drive Net Order Intake with roads and highways clients. Specific responsibilities of the role include (all points related to IMS work within the "Roads and Highways" market sector):

• Developing growth priorities (focus by country, region, client, IMS service proposition), ensuring alignment with the Global Mobility Strategy and IMS Strategy)
• Building relationships with top clients and with teaming partners
• Coordinating internally with IMS Country leads and other IMS leaders working on and pursuing projects for Roads and Highways clients; coordinating with Country Mobility sales teams to drive synergies
• Pre-positioning and providing leadership on major bids:
  • Managing to Go to Market activities
  • Identifying teaming candidates
  • Input to proposals
  • Preparing for interviews with clients
  • Assisting with contract negotiations
• Raising the profile of IMS through conference presentations, panel sessions, and online publications
• Cross-selling services to existing clients
• Identifying synergy sales opportunities for Digital Intelligence software products

Project Delivery (Secondary Role)

In addition to the primary Growth role described above, the Global Market Sector Lead will also be involved at a senior level in the management and delivery of projects for Roads and Highways clients. The nature of the secondary part of the role will vary depending on projects needs but is expected to include:

• Principal-in-Charge of key programs
• Project management and coordination
• Strategic direction on large projects
• Resolution of project issues that may arise

The Market Sector Lead will be accountable for:

• Net Order Intake with roads and highways clients.
• Win rates on major bids
• Partner relationships relevant to the sector.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be degree qualified in a relevant discipline, with a proven track record of profitably growing market presence and client accounts within a consulting, engineering, or professional services organization. You will need to show technical knowledge in technology as applied to the Roads & Highways sector and be able to articulate how technology investments lead to improved mobility services. You will need an ambitious mindset, entrepreneurial attitude, strategic focus and a strong business acumen. You will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, across geographies, and building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships. Existing client contacts within the road and highway sector are highly desirable, particularly within the US, Canada, and the UK.

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $136,719 - $209,636. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
