BASIC FUNCTION:The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors. In the event of an emergency situation, works in conjunction with appropriate local authorities.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE.WORK OF OTHERS:This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises;
Maintain access control by keeping high visibility and ensuring employees are wearing proper identification badges while inside the facility;
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences;
Report all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies to appropriate local authorities;
Respond to emergencies and alarms by following emergency response procedures;
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times;
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor;
Main entrance monitoring of face mask requirement, temperature checking, and completion of COVID Questionnaire;
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Degree required;
One year experience working as a security guard or police officer preferred;
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols;
Integrity and professionalism;
Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills required;
