Commissary Assistant Manager (Administrative)
Assists the Market Manager in the directing and coordination of staff in the production and delivery of service activities as required by The Company. Reviews and acts upon requests, complaints and inquiries to ensure quality customer service. Will be the lead manager in the General Manager's absence.
Has a shared responsibility for maximizing sales and profits within the Commissary. Controls expenses, monitors and corrects shrinkage and operates within established budgets.
Work closely with the Commissary Manager and culinary team to develop and implement new food offers that will maximize sales and profitability.
Monitor sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose corrective actions to optimize sales and enhance customer experience.
Regularly analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product assortment adjustments and promotional activities.
Collaborate with the General Manager and operations team to identify and implement operational improvements that enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Monitor and control expenses, including labor costs, supplies, and other operational expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Ensure compliance with FDA/SCDA health and safety regulations.
Responsible for the completion of daily protein swabbing to identify high bacteria growth environments. Develops and adjusts program guideline to ensure continued effectiveness.
Conduct regular environmental and safety audits to ensure compliance with operational standards and identify areas for improvement.
Assist with the development and deliver comprehensive training programs for employees, focusing on customer service, safety protocols, and environmental compliance.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, adjusting as necessary to improve employee performance and overall effectiveness of training programs.
Assists in the Coaching of Associates and Secondary Management Personnel within the store to ensure compliance with Merchandising, Pricing, Food Service and Administrative requirements.
Plans and prepares work schedules in accordance with production schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. Ensures that the operation follows all appropriate, local state and federal regulations including, but not limited to hours of work, wages, age restrictions, fair employment laws, OSHA, SCDA, etc.
Coordinates training for employees. Assists in the evaluating of performance, implements disciplinary procedures as required and properly documents actions.
Leads by positive example and demonstrates current ability and knowledge of all Commissary functions, including all ordering systems, food production related equipment, reporting, food prep, cleaning, stocking, etc
Responsible/accountable for the facility, its overall physical image, maintenance, equipment, safe environment, inventory.
Performance for this role is measured with direct reference to responsibilities indicated above and their corresponding metrics.
