ASSOCIATE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Job Location: Northfield, Hybrid
Job Description:
Medline has an immediate opening for an Associate Software Developer to join our software development team! This position will design and implement solutions for various business initiatives. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, pleasant to collaborate with, and constantly seeking to improve and expand their skills.
Responsibilities:
Research, plan, design, code, test, deploy, and document high quality software
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans
Report, troubleshoot and resolve software defects
Participate in code reviews
Adhere to established software development standards
Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development practices
Engage in continuous improvement of one's own skill set, both technical and non-technical
Stay current on industry trends and best practices and promote their use as applicable
Develop a solid understanding of Medline's business domain and apply this to all software development activities
Collaborate professionally with customers and colleagues
Comply with all company policies and procedures and governmental regulatory mandates
Those interested in applying should be proficient in the following:
Strong programming skills in languages such as Java or C# (1-3 years professional experience).
Cloud and container-based development and deployment (Azure preferred).
Software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Communication and teamwork.
Object-oriented design principles and patterns.
RESTful web service development.
QA tools and frameworks e.g. JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock
SQL
Git
4-year degree in Computer Science or a related field
