SUMMARY:
Employees primary duties involve assisting Trust Officers with the administration of accounts held by the Trust Department, which may include IRAs, Employee Benefit Plans, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts while acting in a fiduciary capacity. Employee should understand the policies and procedures of the bank and of the Trust Department, along with the culture and philosophy of the bank to perform his/her duties. This position requires the development of knowledge in laws and regulations governing accounts held by the Trust Department. He/she must be able to deal effectively with other professionals within the community whose services or expertise is pertinent to the administration of accounts held by the Trust Department. Employee must demonstrate professional expertise, sound and prudent judgement, strict attention to detail and be extremely organized.

Actively participate in the administrative and Reg. 9 account reviews of all accounts held by the Trust Department.
Accurately administer all accounts assigned according to the governing document and to current laws and regulations.
Cultivate client relationships and prospects for business development opportunities.
Prepare recommendations and help to implement appropriate enhancements of Trust Services
DUTIES SPECIFIC TO THIS POSITION:
Calculating and monitoring IRA required distributions; processing other retirement distributions/contributions; reviewing IRS Forms 1099-R and 5498 prior to production.
Reviewing accuracy of federal tax withholding and reporting. Preparing IRS Form 945 and Form 945-A for Federal tax withholding.
Attending customer meetings to discuss account administration, investments and returns.
Assisting administrative officers with asset allocation and investing individual accounts.
Preparing reporting for internal and external needs.
Backup Front Desk Duties
Posting of payments to individual trust client accounts and taking committee minutes
Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to bank and trust regulatory compliance requirements
Understand and support all BSA/AML responsibilities as applicable to the position as well as consistently, accurately, and timely carry out these responsibilities in compliance with the Banks internal policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret legal and regulatory documents such as trust documents, court orders, tax code, laws and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as tax withholding, fees, interest, income, etc.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS
Display creative thinking not governed by conventional thinking, ability to excel in using available technology, must be extremely detailed and organized, possess strong adaptive skill, and be able to multi-task well (handling multiple projects at different stages simultaneously), must be a self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.
