Position Summary
The Kong Research Group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Rice University is looking for motivated postdoctoral scholars to conduct independent research in functional bioelectronics aimed at addressing unmet clinical needs. Ideal candidates should have experience in interdisciplinary research, particularly in mechanical, electrical, and/or biomedical engineering. They are expected to lead and work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include reporting to Professor Kong, leading research on 3D printed electronics, and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
Dr. Yong Lin's research focuses on the additive manufacturing of nanomaterial-based functional devices and biomedical devices. He has been awarded patents in "3D printed active electronic materials and devices", "3D printed multi-functional hybrid devices and structures", and "gastric resident electronics (https://kong.rice.edu/)."
This position is a one-year term-limited position funded by a grant, soft and/or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of funding.
