Quality Assurance Nurse (Information Technology)
Develop, implement, and evaluate the organizational infection prevention program to include policies and procedures for surveillance, pandemic preparedness, hand hygiene, standard precautions, employee and resident infection control education, employee health, outbreak management, and transmission-based precautions.
Create a process for demonstrating competencies following each training activity.
Comply with regulatory and mandatory reporting requirements at the local, state, and federal levels
Ability to perform wound assessment, reassessment and management for all patients
Develop skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown of patients.
Provides in-services on wound prevention, wound care, and incontinences for nursing staff.
Works closely with Wound Care doctor.

QUALIFICATIONS
Current State of Illinois RN/LPN license
Have primary professional training in nursing, medical technology, microbiology, epidemiology, or other related fields.
Must possess or be willing to obtain CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Certificate.
