Senior Engineer- Digital R&D (Project Management)

As a Senior Engineer you will provide technical expertise, depth, and project leadership in the area of Digital R&D. You will be working with business unit teams and the Digital Technology Solutions teams to identify and develop requirements for new digital systems for R&D effectiveness, collaboration and insight generation and work with both teams to develop program strategies and execute solutions within these spaces.
In this role, you will:
Assess business problems and develop functional and technical requirements as well as a technical approach for addressing those requirements.
Develop a project/implementation plan based on that approach with consideration for time constraints, resource limitations and any operational issues.
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, and software engineers to ensure the solution fits within enterprise context. Independently and as part of a team develop approaches and solutions to improving the digital and technology capability of the team.
Work with internal IT teams, vendors and other internal parties to execute solutions. Subject Matter Expert (SME) and project leader of small to large projects for a specific business capability or across multiple capabilities.
Accountable for overall end-to-end delivery of solutions. Accountabilities across multiple functional and technical analytical areas with wide range of complexity.
Coordinate engagements with vendors as they relate to evaluation, design and delivery of business capabilities.
Contribute to the evaluation and selection of software product standards. Keep abreast of latest developments in cloud systems, integrations, security requirements and the external partner landscape. Leveraging technical depth, coach junior team members to build the departments and business teams technical talent in the area of digital technologies.
Provide protection to technologies, processes, materials, and products through appropriate use of internal technical reports, patents, and trade secrets.

In one of our professional roles, you'll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Analytics and 5 or more years research experience in a variety of technical assignments with emphasis in the development of requirements, identification of solutions and implementation of those solutions in the solving of business and operational issues.
Demonstrated expertise in the use of cloud-based systems, Application Programming Interface (APIs) and integrations and integration with appropriate security systems. Knowledge of R&D workflows and processes as well as project management.
Self-motivated to keep up with industry trends and disseminating information across the organization. Experience working on problems in an industrial environment is preferred, particularly in the areas of high-speed manufacturing and consumer products.
Ability to work with technical teams in the development of requirements documents and be able to work with digital technology teams to translate these requirements into project strategies and ultimately project deliverables.
Demonstrated expertise in the use of commercial or open-source machine learning packages would be beneficial.
Must be able to work and lead in a team environment to meet aggressive deadlines. May be required to travel 10-20%, occasional international travel possible

Salary Range: $105,000 – $130,000 USD
At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
