Position Summary
The position is responsible for performing an enterprise-wide enhanced due diligence (EDD) review of high-risk accountholders and other specialized customer risk categories in an effort to protect the bank from money laundering and terrorist financing. The position supports the overall BSA compliance efforts as required under the Bank Secrecy Act and the Bank's BSA/AML/ USA Patriot Act and OFAC Compliance Program and Procedures.
What You'll Do
Completes enhanced due diligence on identified customers, assesses the overall risk and completes necessary documentation of findings. Analyzes high-risk customers and other identified accounts for unusual and suspicious activity.
Provides recommendations for case resolution, and will refer customers for further investigation where risk tolerances are exceeded based on EDD reviews. Provides prompt escalation of BSA findings to appropriate management, including recommendations for customer closure.
Completes annual targeted reviews of customers such as; ATM owners/operators and Money Service Businesses.
Files Currency Transaction Reporting Exemptions (DOEP) with FinCEN and completes the annual reviews.
Approves Currency Transaction Reports daily, performs quality control reviews of peer EDD reviews and ensures that EDD files are maintained and thoroughly documented.
Attends BSA training sessions as directed by management.
Communicates internally to all lines of business to obtain additional information and further documentation to complete analysis of identified accounts.
Provides other assistance as requested to the BSA/AML Officers in the daily responsibilities of managing the Bank's BSA/AML and OFAC Compliance Program. Provides guidance and support to business lines, corporate units and compliance officers.
Qualifications
3-5 years banking experience
3-5 years BSA experience
Working knowledge of various laws, regulations and guidance as it relates to BSA, AML and OFAC.
Strong communication, problem solving and time management skills.
The ability to work in a fast paced environment.
