The Human Resources Assistant provides basic employee relations support for Houston Region Operations, which includes Mont Belvieu and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparing and processing employment record changes within the Oracle system.
Conducting new hire orientations and completing new employee onboarding tasks.
Coordinating termination paperwork and conducting exit interviews.
Partnering with client groups to provide guidance and assistance with employee transfers, promotions, terminations, or other employee changes.
Coordinating with employees and Supervisors to ensure employees complete all items required when returning from a medical-related leave or absence.
Responding to employee questions and concerns and ensuring responses are aligned with corporate policies and procedures.
Assisting with Employee Relations investigations and matters, as needed.
Running and auditing reports, communicating or completing changes, as needed.
Ordering supplies, organizing and coordinating meetings.
Leading or assisting with special projects, as needed.
Performing other duties, as assigned.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Human Resources or related support role.
The ability and willingness to present in front of large groups of people.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and objectivity.
Strong computer skills, with specific knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, at various levels of the organization, in a business-like and professional manner.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes in daily work activities.
Ability work under pressure and follow through with assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet established deadlines.
Ability to develop relationships and be an effective team player.
