Light Duty Mechanic - Part-time (Maintenance)

· Objective & Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with small engines (e.g., lawnmowers, snow blowers, chainsaws). Perform necessary repairs, including engine overhauls, carburetor adjustments, and electrical system fixes. Assist managers in diagnosis and minor repairs to medium duty pickups, trailers, skid loaders and other larger pieces of equipment.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and air filter cleaning. Follow manufacturer guidelines to keep equipment in optimal condition
Shop Organization and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized shop to set a standard of safety and order.
Parts Replacement: Replace worn-out or damaged components, including pistons, valves, gaskets, and belts. Ensure proper alignment and calibration.
Testing and Tuning: Test engines after repairs or maintenance to verify performance. Adjust settings, timing, and fuel mixture for optimal operation.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols when handling fuels, oils, and electrical systems. Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials. Provide training to team members on OSHA mandated equipment safety, proper usage and maintenance of equipment.
Tool Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment in good working order. Clean, lubricate, and store them appropriately.

Compensation & Benefits:

$18-22 per hour, depending on experience
