Norwood Towers Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for our residents and guests. Responsibilities:

• Keep public and common areas spotless, including the lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Maintain resident rooms and bathrooms to the highest standards of cleanliness.
• Ensure handrails are clean and free of debris.
• Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and towel dispensers, removing dust, dirt, and food.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols when cleaning, including using caution signs and keeping supplies out of reach of residents.
• Use cleaning supplies and equipment safely, following user manuals and instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Report any safety concerns or issues regarding residents to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are low or need replenishing.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, friendly attitude.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
• Experience working in a long-term care facility is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand manuals and instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various types of instructions (written, oral, diagram, or schedule form).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to sit, kneel, stand, walk, and communicate effectively.
• Frequent use of housekeeping supplies and equipment.

Work Environment:

• The work environment is typically quiet, with low to moderate noise levels and scents.
