Software Engineer Intern (Finance)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Software Engineer Intern will support the testing and development of our existingapplications to expand our customer base into new and adjacent markets. This position willutilize the methods and technologies learned in school while gaining new skills by working withsenior engineers. A strong desire to learn, knack for creative engineering, commitment toquality, and a customer focus are essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop scripts to extract information from log files and store the information in a database.
  • Write small utilities to collect information from systems installed at customersites to support preventative maintenance reporting.
  • Testing of advanced software features to validate performance and correctoperation.
  • Assist with UI component development and testing using C# and WPF.
  • Assist with DevOps process by helping to manage branches and builds.
  • Document the builds and patches and customer issues.
  • Installation of Windows operating systems and SQL Server databases.
  • Configuration of cameras and lights for testing.
  • Computer network configuration and hardware installation.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Working toward an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in CS, or in a similar technical sciencediscipline from an accredited college or university
  • C# and .Net experience desired.
  • Familiar installing Microsoft Windows and working with PC hardware.
  • Experience installing and using relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server,Postgress, or other databases highly desired.
  • Experience writing PowerShell scripts.
  • Familiarity with C++ is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with MS Visual Studio, and Windows
  • Experience with Software version control (Git, Mercurial, ClearCase) and other modernSoftware Engineering tools (Azure, DevOps, Agile, Jira, Confluence, CI/CD) desired

Compensation

Employee Type: Hourly

Salary Minimum: $45,000

Salary Maximum: $55,000
