ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The vision for the College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing is to offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs that prepare USF students for high-demand careers, empower faculty to conduct scholarly research that leads to groundbreaking discoveries and technological advancements, grow industry partnerships and promote ethical considerations and trust throughout the digital transformation underway in our world.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Operations provides high-level administrative and operational support for the college, specifically assisting the Dean, Associate and Assistant Deans. The Director plays a critical role in facilitating effective communication and coordination across academic units and the Provost's Office and is responsible for the operational aspects of a college, department, or major unit and/or function with broad responsibility. This position directs activities directly related to the college operations including formulating procedures and guidelines, management of daily operations, and planning the use of facilities, resources, and personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Translates strategic and tactical business plans into operational plans. Makes operational decisions within broadly defined parameters and decision require a high level of judgement. Contributes to the development of the College strategy, with particular attention directed to the development of administrative support, administration, and operations.
Establishes the direction, goals, implementation strategy and policies of the department or unit within an administrative area.
Advises senior administrators in implementing programs, new initiatives, and special projects.
Responsible for ensuring that all programs, activities, and series comply with university, state, and federal regulations.
Responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships throughout the University. Collaborates across the university to support communications, promotions, and public relations in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Requires a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of seven years related exempt experience, including five years of managerial experience. Experience leading a team, project, program or function.
FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
