Job Title: Demand Planner - Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our team and drive the demand planning and forecasting process for our Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) portfolio. The Demand Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate forecasting, optimize inventory levels, and support efficient supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CPG markets, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts for assigned product categories using historical data, market trends, and statistical models.
- Analyze sales trends, promotional plans, and market insights to identify potential variances in demand.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to incorporate business intelligence and ensure alignment on forecast assumptions.
- Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align demand forecasts with supply and financial plans.

Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
- Partner with supply chain teams to optimize inventory replenishment strategies and maintain target service levels.

Performance Analysis:
- Track forecast accuracy metrics (e.g., MAPE, bias) and identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes.
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership, highlighting demand trends, risks, and opportunities.

Process Improvement:
- Continuously enhance demand planning processes and tools by leveraging technology, automation, and best practices.
- Support the implementation of advanced forecasting systems and analytics platforms as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of demand planning or supply chain experience, preferably in the CPG industry.
- Proficiency in D365 Master Planning: Demonstrated expertise in using D365 Master Planning for demand forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling. This includes setting up and maintaining master data, configuring planning parameters, and running planning jobs to generate accurate supply plans.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Essential for data analysis, creating complex formulas, and detailed analysis to support planning decisions.
- Data Visualization Tools: Familiarity with tools like Power BI to use interactive dashboards and reports. This skill enhances the ability to present complex data insights effectively, aiding in better decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Knowledge of CPG industry dynamics, including seasonality, promotions, and market trends.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- APICS or IBF certification in demand planning or supply chain management.
- Experience with S&OP processes and tools.
- Familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques and machine learning models.
