Your Role:
Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a Financial Manager to work remotely to support our work on response projects including wildfires. The selected candidate will perform various analytical and administrative functions in support of overall project execution. Specifically, the collection, review, and audit of project documents to verify the completeness of the documentation using established processes and procedures. Will be trained on the project requirements and will work with the established financial and operations teams to complete each task.
• Complete and provide input for standardized budget and performance templates for the response and recoverypractice
• Assist in the development of dashboard to highlight individual project budgets, invoiced actuals, in-period accruals, and a forecast of the invoice at period close
• Update models for forecasting activities
• Assist in quality review process of invoice preparation
• Monitor and report on weekly budget to actuals and support project managers in development of action plans to address variances
• Expected to accommodate requests and deliverables outside of core business hours upon request
• Support Project Managers in contract management/compliance, invoice management, document control, client meetings/coordination, and interaction with various teams
• Aid in the detection of project anomalies or fluctuations that may results in positive/negative revenue adjustments. Early identification of project financial swings or problems, i.e. write-off; write-downs; write ups
• Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by management
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Active CPA License a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
• Ability to prepare and present financial models with tight deadlines
• Ability to prioritize tasks and independently identify what needs to be completed
• High level communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to utilize Excel functions to increase efficiency
• Experience using ERP applications such as Oracle (Preferred)
• Experience with Power BI and/or Smartsheets (Preferred)
• Self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills, flexible in schedule and objective.
• Flexible, able to immediately adapt to changing priorities
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbally and written)
