Global MSAT Implementation & Support Scientist (Biotech)

Join Lonza in Vacaville to lead global biologics support at Lonza, implementing projects and technologies with cross-functional teams. This role provides technical and operational support on site, collaborating with cross-functional project teams across the biologics network to implement strategic projects, standards and new process technologies. This person will support the Process Technology Harmonization (PTH) program on site, ensuring standardization with network sites and coordinating new technology introductions into GMP facilities. They will also provide governance, mentorship, and serve as the central point of contact for customer and site escalations, ensuring knowledge sharing across the network.
Key responsibilities:
Manage strategic projects, support various teams, ensure timelines, manage risks, and deliver business efficiencies through critical metrics.
Maintaining a cross-site, cross-discipline view of procedures and operations to ensure we are perceived as 'One Lonza' by our customers. This will involve occasional international travel to facilitate collaboration with peers on specific projects as per business requirements.
Proactively influencing R&D, manufacturing operations, and other internal organizations to support the GBTO strategy, including the process technology harmonization plan, capital planning, and future technology deployment consistently to biologics operations.
Collaborate with Global Engineering, site MSAT, and manufacturing to reduce costs and improve consistency for Lonza biologics operations.
Connecting site MSAT teams with network technical Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to ensure knowledge and expertise from the Lonza network and provide technical problem resolution.
Key requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
High level of previous relevant experience in managing technical projects within a cross-matrix organization.
Demonstrated skills in inclusion, innovation, positive collaboration, and recognition.
Proven proficiency as a technical expert while developing a global reputation and network.
Strong collaboration skills with a strategic approach, working with internal and external customers (stakeholders) to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in the technical field of expertise (e.g., USP/DSP Biologics MSAT, Operations, Mammalian cell culture, Research & Development, GMP manufacturing).
Demonstrated experience in people management, leading, and developing technical teams.
The full-time base annual salary for this position is anticipated to fall within a range of $139,200-$182,700. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the successful candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and job-related knowledge.
