Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Finance)
Required: Board Certified Behavior Analysis certification.
Minimum Required: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience. Preferred: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience.PATIENT POPULATION - (CLINICAL ONLY):
Engages in population appropriate communication.
Has knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks.
Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment.
Involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient.
Identifies any physical limitations of the patient and deploys intervention when necessary.
Recognizes and responds appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems.
Interprets population related data and plans care appropriately.
Identifies and responds appropriately to different needs resulting from, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious / cultural norms. Performs treatments, administers medication or operates equipment safely.
Recognizes and responds to signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect.
Patient Consultation:
• Provide support and consultation for patients presenting challenging behavior in the UC Health system.
• Provide behavior support recommendations based on conducted patient assessment which may be shared with others outside of the UC Health system involved with patient treatment.
Patient Assessments:
• Independently conduct assessments based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to better understand the function of challenging behaviors and any relevant environmental or situational factors that may contribute to the behavior. Use the assessment findings to
• Develop behavior plans in collaboration with clinical team members based on assessment findings.
• Review and sign off on behavior plan/treatment plan training for all field staff and provide field supervision when necessary.
Patient Support:
• Provide ongoing support to patients identified with behavior support needs by working with departments and divisions within the UC Health system to analyze their environments and procedures to ensure equitable access for patients with developmental disabilities.
• Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families.
Collaboration:
Consult with departments and divisions within the UC Health system to develop pro-active department- and procedure-specific materials (e.g., visual supports, video tours, social stories, etc.) that can be used to support patient visits.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Consult with the patient, family, treating providers, community partners and other interested parties to develop an understanding of the patient's unique behavioral and sensory needs and incorporates these into a comprehensive plan for supporting the patient in the medical setting.
Training Delivery:
Provide training to staff regarding the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis generally, and provides patient-specific training on assessments and plans, including data collection.
Data Collection:
Develop data collection strategies to monitor and analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming.
Documentation:
Documents assessments and plans, including proposed interventions, data collection, and target outcomes in Epic.
Crisis Response:
Respond to crisis escalations and provide leadership during a behavioral crisis (depending on the situation and/or location), appropriately deploying interventions based on needs of the patient or the treatment plan.
